What is a HAM Operator? Do you think you know what one looks like? Do they have antennas up all around their house? Can the HAM talk out of this world? What equipment does the HAM Operator have and do they understand how the equipment works? I have met some very interesting HAM Operators over the last year and some of them will shock you.
HAM Operators come in all different sizes, shapes, heights, and age. Some of them are retired, some are working your 40 hour week job, some still in school, and several have served our country in the military. Just when you thought you knew about something, it all gets changed around.
Just remember that HAM Operators are licensed amateur radio operators that enjoy doing what HAMs do. Do you know what it is they do? Let me break it down for you really quick. One thing is they talk (on radios) to anyone who will answer them. To make a HAMs day would be to talk with someone halfway around the world.
